Professional Summary

Hi, I’m Emma—an experienced design leader with a passion for turning complex ideas into meaningful, beautiful experiences. With over 12 years in graphic design, experiential marketing, and creative management, I’ve led high-impact visual storytelling for global brands like Google and Salesforce, as well as dozens of B2B and professional services firms, including Perkins&Will and JLL. I thrive at the intersection of big-picture thinking and pixel-perfect execution—whether managing 10,000+ graphics for a 45K-attendee conference or mentoring creative teams to grow with empathy and purpose. I love a good brainstorm, live for a well-organized production schedule, and believe that great design starts with listening. Let’s build something bold, smart, and unforgettable together.

Work Experience

May 2023 - Present

Graphics Project Manager | George P Johnson

Acting as a link between design, estimating, fabrication, and final delivery I manage hundreds of graphics per show, ensuring budget adherence, brand compliance, on-time delivery, and a successful install onsite. I work with Creative Directors, Engineers, Workstream/Zone Leads, Production Artists, and Printers from the beginning sketches to final delivery. I am the knowledge manager for all materials, printing techniques, deadlines, and budgets.

June 2022 - September 2022

Senior Visual Design Manager | The Channel Company

Tasked with growing the in-house graphic design and videography studio, I authored team and company-wide operations and helped shepherd in a new PM software. I managed a team of three creatives, conducted weekly one-on-ones, and created professional development plans. After several client scope changes, it was determined that the in-house design studio was no longer a priority and the entire team was laid off.

November 2020 - May 2022

Senior Graphic Designer, Manager | Jones Lang LaSalle

Leader of the graphic design team for JLL's Capital Markets Boston office. I managed workload, interfaced with senior leadership and clients, provided art direction, QA/QC'ed final pieces, authored internal procedures, and designed custom books for higher-end deals.

September 2019 - October 2020

Senior Marketing Coordinator | Perkins&Will

Managed a team of 5-7 people per project and crafted the marketing plan associated with various pursuits. I was the knowledge manager of the Mixed-Use studio and was utilized as a resource when other people needed guidance from a marketing perspective. I juggled a multitude of tasks with conflicting priorities to always meet my deadlines.

May 2019 - August 2019

Graphic Design Manager (Contract) | TM Capital

Set the new design look and feel across all platforms. I increased organic impressions on LinkedIn by 500%, raised the average daily website views from 650 to 1500, and established templates and processes that cut typical production time from 12 hours to 4 hours.

November 2020 - May 2022

Senior Graphic Designer | Smartegies

Oh the fast-paced world of a start-up.  Here I learned how to think under pressure, juggle what felt like 1000 projects, and fulfill roles that I didn't even know I could. Previous Titles: Marketing Design Coordinator, Marketing Design Specialist, Senior Graphic Designer, Print Team Manager

September 2019 - October 2020

Graphic Designer & Marketing Coordinator | Portman Architects

Here I learned how to work with strong personalities and juggle tight deadlines.

August 2013 - April 2014

Marketing Consultant | Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International Realty

As an independent contractor, I learned how to manage my time, client's needs, and differing priority levels.

January 2013 - August 2013

Junior Graphic Designer | THERMA-TRU

I cut my teeth as a baby designer here and learned the fundamentals of being a part of an in-house team.
